Off to the Test Match

Find the official route to your Test seat

Start with the host’s ticket service, then check the match day, seat and conditions before arranging a Test cricket trip.

Choose the match and the day

A Test booking needs more detail than the name of the ground. Check which teams are playing, which day you are buying and whether a pass covers several days. The Test calendar leads to the relevant ground guides. Each guide brings together its official seller, seating choices and travel information.

Understand the sale stage

English clubs use their own membership priorities, ballots and public releases. The Test ticket guide shows dated timelines from the shared fixture catalogue. A ballot entry is an application; it becomes a seat only when the club confirms the purchase. For Australia, start with Cricket Australia’s match page and follow its ticket link.

Keep the seat and the conditions together

Compare the block, level and row before comparing prices. A covered stand can have exposed front rows. Arrange companion seating with the ticket office when needed, and keep children beside their accompanying adults. Save the confirmation and the conditions that applied when you paid.

When plans change

Use the organiser’s own returns or resale process. Avoid assuming that a stranger’s transferred barcode gives valid admission. Rain, an early finish and a match cancelled before the opening day can have different consequences: the rain guide explains the main distinctions. Keep hotel and transport cancellation deadlines separate from the cricket ticket terms.
