Larwood & Voce Stand at Trent Bridge: choosing a Test seat

Larwood & Voce offers a compact eastern-side position between Acrisure and Hound Road. The view is angled across the wicket, with the nearby boundary part of the experience. For the 2027 Ashes this is a public seating area, a useful change for visitors who remember older member-only descriptions of the stand.

Best for: A smaller seating area with boundary detail and an angled view across the pitch.

Watching a Test from Larwood & Voce Stand

Larwood & Voce occupies the curve between the longer Acrisure side and the southern Hound Road seating. Your view therefore combines a cross-pitch angle with a look towards the bowling ends. It is useful for watching a batter find the square boundaries and for seeing how the closest boundary fielder adjusts position between deliveries. It is not the straight bowling-line perspective of central Radcliffe Road.

The compact stand gives a different scale to the day from the multi-tier structures at either end. Front positions bring you nearest the rope; farther-back rows add height over the spectators ahead. Hound Road provides a useful comparison if height is your priority, while Acrisure offers the adjacent side-on angle with a stronger singing reputation. Larwood & Voce sits between those two choices physically as well as in the way its view feels.

Sun through the three sessions

For the morning session, rear covered seating in Larwood & Voce benefits from shade. The exposed front is a different proposition, because it extends beyond the most sheltered part of the stand. Its eastern location is the main clue to the change over the day: the sun moves towards the part of the sky the seats face.

After lunch, afternoon sunshine reaches towards Larwood & Voce from across the playing area. In the final session, the roof remains overhead but cannot close off the open front against lower light. If you are comparing a full-day seat with the nearby Hound Road upper tier, remember that the site’s Hound Road guidance is mixed afternoon light, while Larwood & Voce faces afternoon sun. A covered rear row here is a shelter choice, not an all-day shade position.

Larwood & Voce Stand on an Ashes day

The 2027 Ashes buying guide opens Larwood & Voce to general public buyers. Older descriptions of a members-and-guests area should not prevent a non-member considering it for this Test. Nottinghamshire members have a priority purchasing allowance here, but that sales entitlement does not turn the seating into the Pavilion’s member-only environment.

Larwood & Voce is a useful choice for spectators attracted by a smaller stand and the fielding detail near the eastern rope. The adjoining Acrisure crowd will still be part of the wider ground’s sound, so the compact scale should not be read as a quiet-zone designation. Nor is this the club’s named alcohol-free area. For that particular family preference, the relevant alternative is Bridgford Road’s blocks beside the Pavilion.

Finding your way around

Wheelchair spaces are listed in front of Larwood & Voce. They provide a pitch-level option on this side of Trent Bridge and need to be arranged as designated positions, including any companion seat. An ordinary raised row behind them is a different booking and can involve steps. When discussing access, specify Larwood & Voce’s front viewing area so the ticket team can match the route to the seat.

The club lists adapted toilets on the Acrisure rear concourse and at Hound Road West beside the Derek Randall stairwell. Larwood & Voce sits between those neighbouring stands; a steward can direct you to the appropriate facility from your position. There is no named restaurant included with an ordinary Larwood & Voce ticket. Use its eastern concourse as your starting point for matchday food, and follow the entrance printed on the Ashes ticket for arrival.

2027 Ashes seats and prices

Larwood & Voce has two public Ashes price categories. Category 1 adults pay £155 on Days 1–3 and £125 on Day 4; Category 2 is £125 on Days 1–3 and £95 on Day 4. The standard Day 5 adult tariff is £40. The category shown for the actual block is therefore important: the stand does not have a single Days 1–4 price.

The club’s Ashes description of Larwood & Voce as a general-admission area distinguishes it from member-only areas. Use the seat and row information attached to the selected ticket rather than assuming a free choice of any empty seat on arrival. Public Categories 1 and 2 do not include the under-16 and under-21 concession rates offered in Category 3. William Clarke and Bridgford Road are the relevant comparisons for those age bands.
