Bridgford Road Stand at Trent Bridge: choosing a Test seat
Bridgford Road is the first Trent Bridge stand to compare if you want designated alcohol-free seating for the Ashes. The relevant blocks are towards the Pavilion end of its southwest curve. Elsewhere in the same stand, a range of prices and a raised wheelchair deck give visitors several ways to choose their view.
Best for: Families selecting the Pavilion-end alcohol-free blocks, and wheelchair users who want a raised viewing position.

Watching a Test from Bridgford Road Stand
Bridgford Road curves around the southwest boundary, with an angled view across the square and towards the far bowling end. It does not offer a single straight line behind the stumps. The blocks nearer the Pavilion bring you towards the southern end of the ground; positions farther around the curve alter the balance between the length of the pitch and the square-on view.
The rear rows add height, and the club identifies seats towards the back as useful standard-price value. Its raised wheelchair deck provides a separate elevated viewing option, with companion seats alongside. At pitch level, designated wheelchair spaces give a closer relationship with the boundary. These two accessible viewing heights are one of Bridgford Road’s strongest distinctions: specify which suits you when discussing the booking with Nottinghamshire.

Sun through the three sessions
Bridgford Road catches morning sunshine. With only limited covered seating, much of the stand has an open-air feel during the first session. Its western location places the rising sun across the ground in front of you, so the Pavilion-end family blocks should be chosen for their alcohol rule, not on an assumption that the family designation brings extra roof shelter.
After lunch, Bridgford Road’s light becomes mixed as the sun moves around the ground. The final session can also combine sun and shade, with the position around the curve affecting the experience. Compared with the strongly sun-facing Acrisure side, this is a useful afternoon alternative, but the limited roof still matters for rain. The high wheelchair deck changes the viewing height; it does not by itself establish a sheltered seat for every weather condition.

Bridgford Road Stand on an Ashes day
Alcoholic drinks may not be consumed in Bridgford Road’s designated blocks closest to the Pavilion. That gives families a concrete seating rule to select, rather than a vague promise about a whole stand’s atmosphere. The rest of Bridgford Road is not automatically alcohol-free. On the Ashes booking map, choose the identified blocks if that distinction is central to the day you want.
Bridgford Road is also a broad public seating area, with three ordinary price categories and some separate bundled products. That variety means adults, younger spectators and groups can compare more than one cost within the same side of the ground. For families, the Pavilion-end alcohol-free blocks and the nearby accessible toilets offer two practical reasons to consider this part of Bridgford Road.
Finding your way around
The lift for Bridgford Road’s raised wheelchair viewing is in the Administration Block at the stand’s southern end. The deck includes electric-wheelchair charging points and adjacent carer seats. The club also offers pitch-level spaces here. Some ordinary stepped seating lacks handrails, so the existence of the deck lift should not be taken as a description of access to every standard row.
Adapted toilets are listed on level two and the rear concourse. The 2026 Test guide also places baby changing in Bridgford Road’s accessible toilets. For a family using the Pavilion-end blocks, those stand-specific facilities help organise breaks without assuming access to the Pavilion building. Follow the gate instruction issued with your ticket; ask for the Administration Block route when arranging a raised-deck position, as that is more precise than simply asking for entry to Bridgford Road.
2027 Ashes seats and prices
Bridgford Road’s public adult prices span Categories 1, 2 and 3: £155, £125 or £99 on Days 1–3, and £125, £95 or £85 on Day 4. The standard Day 5 adult ticket is £40. Category 3 has under-21 and under-16 prices, so families should compare the category of the available block as well as its alcohol-free designation.
Some Bridgford Road back-row seats come with an Ashes merchandise bundle and commentary headset. Other packages combine seats with meals at restaurants outside the ground. Those products carry different inclusions from an ordinary ticket in the same stand. A restaurant package should therefore be chosen for its named dining arrangement, while a family seeking the alcohol-free blocks should establish that exact seating location before treating any bundle as suitable.
